The information below is from a Kaufman County attorney who ran against Howard Tygrett in the 2010 election. This is the experienced testimony of a Kaufman attorney who has vast experience in courthouses across the State of Texas:

This is how the 86th District Court is now being conducted:

• State v. David Gathercole
The defendant had previously been convicted and sent to prison for sexual assault of a child, then sent back to prison for failing to register. Once released Mr. Gathercole failed to register again and plead guilty. The District Attorney’s office and the probation department requested that he be sent back to prison, but instead Judge Howard Tygrett gave Mr. Gathercole the lightest sentence possible, two years probation and deferred the fi nding of guilt. Mr. Gathercole is currently free and resides in Forney, Texas.


• State v. Rodney Hunt
During a murder trial, Judge Howard Tygrett fell asleep while the jury was listening to the confession of the Defendant.


• State v. Joey Dauben and State v. Mike Meissner
Judge Howard Tygrett signed two search warrants for the two men which resulted in their arrests. The search warrants had no probable cause and listed Judge Howard Tygrett as an injured party. By law, Judge Howard Tygrett should not have signed the warrants. As a result, the two men were improperly arrested and jailed. This unconstitutional action led to Judge Tygrett’s pending judicial grievances.


• Judge Howard Tygrett does not order convicted felons to forfeit firearms.

Summation of My Case in Kaufman County

I HAVE NOT SEEN OR SPOKEN TO MY SON IN OVER A YEAR NOW. NOT ONE STITCH OF EVIDENCE OF ABUSE WAS EVER GIVEN TO JUDGE HOWARD TYGRETT. NOV. 08 – ON THE RECOMMENDATION OF AN ALCOHOLIC, BRIBE-TAKING COUNSELOR FROM FORNEY (LINDA DUGGAN), THE EVIL THUG HOWARD TYGRETT FORBID ME FROM ANY AND ALL COMMUNICATIONS WITH MY SON, WHY? This was all based on the relentless PAS (Parental Alienation Syndrome) agenda and campaign of the mother and Tygrett was too shallow and malicious to see it for what it was. He believed the lies when no real proof was given to him, just exaggerations and lies. In Tygrett’s courtroom, I was simply guilty in his eyes instead of “innocent UNTIL proven guilty” with real, authentic, emperical evidence, not just that which the mother coached the child and paid the counselors to say. Tygrett KNEW she was coaching the child because the first counselor he appointed told him that straight out in her report which he read aloud from the bench. Tygrett even stopped when he read the counselor’s report of the mother “coaching the child.” That same counselor told me and my attorney to pursue the child’s mother for PAS because that is exactly what she is going. That court-appointed counselor said this was a textbook case of PAS. 2.5 years after Howard Tygrett allowed the CPS  mob to take away my son, he gave me 2.5 minutes to talk on the stand! Howard Tygrett did nothing to protect the child or his parent (myself) and to preserve the Constitutional rights of each of us (parental rights included). The last time I went to his courtroom before giving up in the illegal system of Kaufman, I realized that I was the outside guy and blackballed and that no matter what I did, they were going to say I didn’t do enough – EVEN THOUGH THEIR IS NO PROOF THAT I ABUSED MY SON IN THE FIRST PLACE! NEW “More Evidence of Corruption ….. I have a very similar story of the corruption from Tygrett and Duggan.  I divorced from my ex-wife with the typical 1st-3rd-5th weekend fathers are given.  My ex-wife served me papers 2 weeks ago with a letter from Linda Duggan making up lies.  Duggan said I was mentally unstable and questioned my 4-year old son.  She said my son does not want to see me, is scared of me, and that he was screaming and crying in the hall before she even met him saying “I don’t want to see my dad”.  This is totally false.  She told all of these lies to the judge (Tygrett) and he agreed with her.  My ex’s father is very involved in campaign donations to Tygrett. I hired a lawyer from outside Kaufman Co. and was only allowed a short time on the stand.  My lawyer saw Judge Tygrett write up the docket BEFORE I even took the stand. The judge suspended all contact with my son until a counselor (he appointed) says I am fit to see my son. We have another court date set in 45 days.  I went to see the counselor today ($120) and he would not even talk about the situation with my ex and my son.  He said he would only talk about me and my background.  I didn’t know what to do so I started investigating and came across this website with grief.  My only hope now is to contact one of the news stations and have them investigate. I am in the process of doing this now.  Please continue to pray and we need to unite in God’s name.  We will win in the end…I am sure of it.

For Tygrett to call my attorney (Calabria) and ask for a $10K donation to his campaign during the time of my case is simply a way of saying, ‘may the highest bidder win.’ With Tygrett being one of the most corrupted Republicans (I pride myself in being Rep), Calabria (Dem) was not about to donate, and she said that in the most colorful way, while smoking away in her office. “Eric Williams made recommendations to the court to lessen my summer visitation with the children this year. Linda Duggan and Eric Williams outright lied. I got to visit with my children for 1 week this summer and am scheduled for final trial in soon.

Also, Linda Duggan recommended Carla Herron to do a psych test on me, my wife and ex-spouse and I’ll give you a good guess as to who got rave reviews and which two have issues. And, that was turned into the court.

I too have never had a chance to present my evidence to the court. There was sexual misconduct that took place at ex-spouse’s house and the court totally disregards that information.

I don’t live in Kaufman County, my wife and I were both ordered to a social study over $1,000 later it was recommended to the court that she saw no reason why the children could not live with us if the ex-spouse wanted to. This was disregarded by the judge. He then ordered us to attend therapy sessions with Linda Duggan but since she never returned our calls nor emails we could never schedule anything. Williams as Attorney and Guardian ad Litem in the 86th Judicial District Court of Kaufman County, Texas.  Sandra Harwood was the Attorney for DFPS (CPS) and Cathy Adams was the attorney for the child’s mother, who was a minor at the time.  They apparently convinced the child’s mother that she would lose all custody and visitation if she did not sign the Rule 11 Agreement transferring ‘managing conservatorship’ from CPS to the foster parents, which also specifically granted that ‘any and all access and possession of the child by the mother be as specifically directed by the [foster parents].’  This meant the mother could see the child if and when the foster parents said she could.  What attorney in their right mind would recommend that a mother (who was a child at the time and needed protection herself) sign such a document? Everyone has complied with everything. Accusations are totally false and untrue.  They spent last year with all the social worker visits.  He was ordered counseling with Linda Duggan and calls were never returned & he was therefore non compliant.  Duggan has met him once briefly.  He & his wife were ordered to do psych evals & we find the person who did it, Carla Herron is a partner with Duggan. He has never had an opportunity to say one word in court.  His lawyer, who is from outside Kaufman County,  has barely been able to speak.     Here’s How the Ring of Corruption Works in Kaufman County …… Judge Howard Tygrett appoints a counselor he knows is a drunkard, a convicted alcoholic – Linda Duggan (Forney). One of the parents pays off or gets in the favor of Tygrett’s appointed counselor Linda Duggan and so Linda fabricates – tells outright lies – in her reports and in court (on the stand) about the other parent (continually). Lying in court is called perjury and is punishable by law. Judge Howard Tygrett knowingly accepts the false testimony. Tygrett also openly admits that he allows Eric Williams to make his decisions – He said this out loud in court. Tygrett said “I rarely go against what Eric Williams says.” In other words, whatever Williams says, Tygrett goes with and yet Eric Williams is totally corrupt. In my case, Eric Williams told my attorney in the beginning that he knew there was no evidence of abuse abd YET Williams has signed off indicating that I should not be allowed to see my son. Judge Howard Tygrett allows Linda Duggan and Eric Williams to tell him what abuse is or is not and they make his decisions for him. He let’s them define what abuse is which can be made up out of thin air against the target parent (the one they are attacking). Instead of Howard Tygrett doing the job the tax-payers are paying him to do, Tygrett lets Eric Williams and Linda Duggan make those important decisions and both of them are totally corrupt. Howard Tygrett is running a criminal kidnapping ring using the tax-payer funded courtroom on the 2nd floor of the square in Kaufman, Texas in the 86 District Court. JUDGE HOWARD TYGRETT, ATTY.     If there is going to be any hope of a safe and sound future for the residents of Kaufman county Texas, the tax-paying citizens of Kaufman county Texas must rise up and rid their whole legal system of all self-serving, immoral, divisive, unprincipled, and unscrupulous deceitful workers.

    How in the world do these people sleep at night?! Can you imagine how hardened in heart someone has to be to divide a family – to rip a young child from his own parent!? These people and the child’s mother need our prayers and so does the little boy they took from his father. As I told CPS at the end of one of their evil sessions, the blood is on their hands. The blood of this child is upon their hands – His Maker and their Judge sees all. He sees what they have done and how they have dealt deceitfully behind the scenes and even in the open. The LORD told us that He always gets the last laugh and that we should repent and “kiss the Son” before it’s too late (Ps. 2).  From judge Howard Tygrett down, these people are guilty before the Ultimate King and Judge of His Universe – they are guilty of kidnapping. It is unfortunate that to date, none of these people have repented and still have this child unlawfully and immorally separated from his own father. The Bible calls these people “menstealers,” which simply means they are kidnappers – they are using their positions in the legal system to do this evil and God sees that (He holds the eternal judgment and destiny of all in His holy hands Ezek. 18:4, 30; 1 Tim. 1:10). We have all sinned and it’s time for all of us to return to Him who made and will one day soon judge us before His holy Throne (John 3:16; Revelation 20:11-15; 21:8, 27). Ready or not – Jesus is coming.

    What Howard Tygrett has done in this case is nothing less than criminal. This same man, in his duties as a judge, puts into jail kidnappers (child thieves) and yet, this is exactly what he himself has done – indefinitely! With no material evidence of abuse on record before his court (that would warrant separation), judge Howard Tygrett has stolen a little Kaufman boy from his own daddy. JUDGE HOWARD TYGRETT HAS EVEN GONE SO FAR AS TO FORBID THIS CHILD’S GRANDPARENTS FROM ANY AND ALL COMMUNICATION WITH THEIR OWN GRANDSON.
